While Brittany was here, we decided to go snowshoeing up Mount Rainier. We filled a thermos with some freshly cooked tomato soup, cut up some cheese to eat with our crackers, and made rice krispie treats. We picked up some snow shoes and drove up the mountain. The dogs thought this was the greatest idea! Since we were in a public area, we had to keep them on a leash the majority of the time. They didn't understand why no matter how many different ways we tried to explain it to them. When we got half-way, we plopped down in the snow and had a picnic. The soup was still hot, so it warmed us up somewhat. We loved being able to defy the cold by getting outside anyway. One lady in Isla Mujeres was from this area. She said, "You've got to get out and do things because if you wait for good weather like you're used to doing in Florida, you are going to get depressed so fast!"
